Day 1:  Arrival, Yangon                                                                                                           

Arrive at Yangon airport (am.), meet with KMA Travels representative along with your guide and transfer to your hotel. Until recently Yangon has been the capital of Myanmar since the British transformed it into their administrative centre of future India. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes Yangon one of the most fascinating capitals of South East Asia. After fresh up, visit Chaukhtatgyi; the colossal reclining Buddha, National museum (if you may interest) and in the evening visit Shwedagon Pagoda, the world's richest and most famous golden stupa. More than 2,600 years old, Shwedagon is plated with solid gold slabs weighing about 42 tons, which has been added bay by the earnest donors thus impossible to get the exact weight of gold. In addition, the tip is inset with numerous numbers of precious stone such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires and topaz. Shwedagon symbolizes how important Buddhism is to Burma and legend has it that the pagoda houses eight of the Buddha's hairs. Enjoy a fantastic sunset view from the hilltop. Overnight in Yangon.


 

Day 2:             Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo   

                                                                                                           

Breakfast at hotel, our driver will meet up at your hotel, and depart for Kyaikhtiyo to Kinpun at the base of Mt Kyaiktiyo. Here you will leave your driver and find space in a pilgrim truck, which will wind its way uphill to the mountain’s main staging area. From here you can walk (or treat yourself to a sedan chair ride) to the checkpoint at the top of the mountain. This is the very convenient location of your hotel; check in and take a rest! At sunset, walk the few metres to the Golden Rock itself. At this time of day hundreds of pilgrims make offerings at the pagoda and pay their respects to the Buddha. The atmosphere at this time of day in this area is quite magical. Overnight in Kyaikhtiyo. (B)

Day 3:             Kyaikhtiyo – Bago – Yangon       

                                                                                       

Breakfast at hotel, enjoy the sunrise and return to base camp by open truck and drive to Yangon. En-route visit Bago highlights: Kyaik Pun Paya (Lay Myat Hnar Paya with (4) huge Buddha images, then you may observe Bago Market & Kya Khat Wain Kyaung “Monastery”.
Visit region highest Shwemawdaw Pagoda of 114 meter height and a walk to the Hinthagone Pagoda, the place where Bago was founded. Continue visit the world oldest and authentic reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha Image measuring 55 meters long and 16 meter high. If time permits visit "Kambawzathadi" palace site surrounding a former Mon palace ground and Maha Kalyani Sima (Thein). In the evening, stop the car and you may stroll II War World Cemetery. Overnight in Yangon. (B)


 

Day 4:             Yangon - Heho –Inle Lake                                                                                  

Breakfast at hotel, and transfer to airport for your Yangon bound flight (6T 541, 10:00-12:45, check-in time at 09:00 am.), arrive at Yangon domestic airport, transfer to your hotel. After fresh up, a museum like monastery where old belongings of many monasteries are restored. Afterwards, visit weaving village of Inpawkhon, famous for traditional silk-weaving, Se Gaung Village, famous for the blacksmith work and Nan Pan Village with cheroot making and boat-building dockyards etc. (all sightseeings will be line up to be flexible depends on time permit & under assistance of your good guide) <if time permit, if in case you may lost some, we replaced them by next day sightseeing>. Overnight in Inle Lake. (B)


 

Day 5:             Indein – Inle Lake      

                                                                                             

Breakfast at hotel, start the tour to Indein, visit thousands of ancient pagoda and the rest, your guide will assist more of Inle Lake sightseeing. Wonder unique leg rowing fishermen, floating firms, houses and monasteries on the stilt etc. boat to observe Ywama floating market (if coincidence with (5) day market schedule), the lake's downtown and largest village on the Inlay Lake, then proceed to visit Indein Ruins of complex whose Pagodas and Stupas were built in the eighth century. There are a number of shops along the hill for you to enjoy. Overnight in Inle Lake. (B)


 

Day 6:             Samkar boat trip           

                                                                                          

Breakfast at hotel, start cruising to Samkar and Thakong by powered-boat via Nampan, Golden Island Cottage it takes about 3hrs. from Nyaung Shwe jetty to Samkar along with your English speaking guide (service includes: guide, Lunch, Drinking water & snow towel and Regional development fund (Samkar Zone) and higlights of trip:


-Once rotated 5 days market schedule, Market at Kyauk Daing a Shan village mostly live on earthenware pottery works. Naung Bo a Pa O village also could be see pottery works.
-Local methods of producing high degree of Alcohol, (CS-country spirit) fermented and extracted from Bran Rice. By walking through in Saamkar village, rice mil factory, making bullock cart wheels could be observed.


-Unspoiled culture and traditional life-styles of the ethic groups of Pa-O and Intha inhabited around Samkar and Hmawbi area.


-By cruising down from Lake Inle, beautiful landscaping, flowering trees and settlements dotted on both sides of the canal could be observed.


Return to hotel. Overnight in Inle Lake. (B)


 

Day 7:             Inle Lake- Hot Spring – Pindaya                                                                           

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty near hot spring, take a rest at hot spring (Entry fees and service for taking bath-on your own), drive to Pindaya (approx drive (2) hrs.), Pindaya, known for its extensive limestone caves and picturesque lake. The drive to Pindaya is especially nice as the road winds over the rolling hills of the Shan Plateau through mustard and wheat fields. You may have the opportunity to stop at a farmland for a social exchange with ethnic farmers and observe the Pa O's traditional making of paper umbrellas. Overnight in Pindaya. (B)
 

Day 8:             Pindaya – Kalaw (2 day/ 1 night) trekking with English speaking trekkingguide

(Early morning) Breakfast at hotel, then drive to Kalaw about (07:00) am. (approx. 1 hr drive), trekking route will be managed by your good English speaking trekking guide throughout trip. Overnight in village. (B)


#You may leave you big luggage at your hotel Green Heaven in Kalaw before your trekking trip, just for your information.


 
 
 

Day 9: Thu: Jan 10 '13:         (on trekking, it will be end in the late afternoon) – Kalaw                   

Breakfast at home in village and trek along with your guie and lunch will arranged for you by your guide as well. (sorry for not providing trekking trip as it was very difficult to collect the data by phone from my Kalaw trekking guide who is on trekking trip now!). Overnight in Kalaw. (B)


 

Day 10: Fri: Jan 11 '13:          Kalaw –Tharzi        

                                                                                     

Breakfast at hotel, visit around on your own before check-in time at Kalaw station.
 In the afternoon, you may take the train from Kalaw to Tharzi (ETD-02:00 pm., check-in time is 01:30 pm. at Kalaw Railway Station and ETA-09:00 pm. at Tharzi station). Once arrive in Tharzi, one of representative of your guest house will pick you up by Horse-cart at Tharzi Station and transfer to your hotel, then take a rest at your guest house. Overnight in Tharzi. (B)
 

Day 11: Sat: Jan 12 '13:         Tharzi – Mandalay                                                                    

Breakfast at hotel OR packed breakfast as for early morning, transfer to Tharzi train station for Tharzi to Mandalay (ETD-06:00 am., check-in time is 05:30 am. at Tharzi station and ETA-9:00 am. at Mandalay station) , upon arrival one of our representative (driver) will pick you up and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon about (02:30) pm. visit foot of Mandalay hill to observe "the largest book" at Kuthodaw Pagoda where entire Buddhist canon (Tripitaka) have been recorded on stone tablets totaling 729 in number. Shwenandaw "Golden Palace Monastery" (ex-palace complex of former Myanmar kings), to observe finest Myanmar wooden architecture. You may either walk up stairs or drive up to Mandalay hill for a fantastic over view of the entire plain. Overnight in Mandalay. (B)

 

Day 12: Sun: Jan 13 '13:        Mandalay–Amarapura - Ava– Sagaing-Mandalay

Breakfast, visit Mahamuni Buddha Image, then proceed to ancient city of Amarapura, meaning city of immortality with a visit of Mahagandayon monastery to observe the lunch process of hundreds of Buddhist monks, afterwards check-in at your hotel. After fresh up, visit to 14th century capital Ava, you may cross Mitngwe River by small boat then take a horse-cart to observe unique monasteries and monuments include Bargaya teak monastery which is famous for its teak pillars amounting to 267 in total and the remains of the royal palace and fort. Continue to picturesque Sagaing hills covered with 600 white-painted pagodas and monasteries, Sagaing hill is widely regarded as the religious centre of Myanmar and is home of 3,000 monks and 100 meditation centers. On your way visit traditional bronze casting, silver smith works which Sagaing is famous for. Enjoy fantastic sunset view from the 200 year old U Bein teak bridge span across Thaungthaman Lake (built in 1782) at that time Amarapura was Royal capital. Return to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay. Day 13: Mon: Jan 14 '13:      Mingun –Mandalay                       

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Mayan Chan jetty, board on a local fishermen boat for Mingun across Ayeyarwady river (11 km, approx one hour). Observe the world's largest ringing bell weighing 55555 viss which calculated equal to 90 tons and Mingun Pahtodawgyi, an enormous pile of bricks is all that remain of King Bodawpaya ambition to make it the world's largest Buddhist stupa. Lunch at good Local restaurant on your own arrangement. Return to Mandalay and continue visit traditional handicraft making process such as wood carving, tapestry weaving, gold leaf hammering etc. Visit Mandalay city around and Zay Cho Market. Overnight at in Mandalay. (B)



 

Day 14: Tue: Jan 15 '13: Mandalay– Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) - Hsipaw

Breakfast at hotel, drive to Pyin Oo Lwin along with your good English Speaking driver, formerly known as Maymyo through beautiful twisting and turning road winding through road side villages (approx 1 ½ hour). Maymyo is famous for its climate weather, a popular hill station of the British during colonial days in Myanmar. Maymyo impresses with its many churches, colonial styled buildings with gables, turrets and chimneys etc. Horse-drawn carriages still play major role in transport means. Continue visit enchanting Maymyo market with multicolored flowers and vegetables and botanical garden of 432 acres "laid out by Sir Harcourt Butler, former Governor of Burma" to observe the conservation of diverse botanical species around the world. Drive to Hsipaw; it is another hill station of British colonial era. Overnight in Hsipaw. (B)


 
 

Day 15: Wed: Jan 16 '13:     Hsipaw    (with English speaking trekking guide)

Breakfast at hotel, trekking to Orange plantation and on board through silver river, persuasion of under the river along with beautiful gold fishes, many kind of shape of pebbles etc. This trip takes for about (5) hrs (go & return including sightseeing). Lunch on trip (on your own). In the afternoon about (02:00) pm., private boat trip to Chaung Zone (through Dot-hta-waddy silver River @ Creek confluence), en-route visit light trekking to Shan Villages, there is Shan Monastery which is over 100 years old and built with huge teak pillars. As beautiful green and landscape, Orange plantation and on board through silver river, persuasion of under the river along with beautiful gold fishes, many kind of shape of pebbles etc. You may enjoy the sunset on board along Dot-hta-waddy silver River. You may visit Buddha statue of thin bamboo strip, Lay Htet Bagan; ancient ruined pagoda as if Bagan and proceed to Tain Taung to enjoy the sunset @ Nine Pagodas of Mt. Sunset. (if time permit, I will arrange it as complimentary service as it was not add the cost for that). Overnight in Hsipaw. (B)


 
 

Day 16: Thu: Jan 17 '13:          Hsipaw – Nyaung Cho – Mandalay

Breakfast at hotel, take the train from Hsipaw to Naung Cho (09:00) am. via Gokteik Viaduct amongst hazy mountains, a 2260-foot long bridge that spans a rocky, 320-foot-deep gorge in Shan State when it was built more than 100 years age by th US based Pennsylvania and Maryland Bridge Construction company, it was the second-highest viaduct in the world where you may take a photo as well. Once you arrive at Naung Cho station about (02:30) pm. , drive to Mandalay <aprox (3) hrs. drive>, you may get a feeling un-unforgettable trip of Hsipaw will be end.  Overnight in Mandalay. (B)

 

Day 17: Fri: Jan 18 '13:         Mandalay ~ Bagan      

                                                                               

Early breakfast at hotel OR packed breakfast (your guide will assist you), transfer to Gaw Wein Jetty, embark at (06:30) am. (check-in time) and (ETD-07:00 am.) along with your throughout guide and arrive in Bagan between 1600 and 1800 depends on the water level in the river). Bagan is considered one of the most amazing sites in Asia, and though comparable to sites of worldwide importance such as Jerusalem and Rome, it remains virtually unknown. More than 2,200 temples remain of the 13,000 that once stood. Some were destroyed by invaders, others by earthquake and decay, but internationally funded restoration is under way and the major temples are in excellent condition. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Bagan. (B)
 
 
Day 18: Sat: Jan 19 '13:         Bagan

                                                                                                                       
Breakfast and you may start the sightseeing around with guide. Bagan, the 10th century archaeological site is considered one of the richest and most amazing sites in Asia. (If depends on time permit until 12:00 noon)Excursion to the major temples among the 200 plus existing monuments such as Anadar, the best preserved masterpieces of Mon architecture, Thabyinnyu, the highest monument of universal science, Gawdawpalin, one of the largest and most imposing Monument in Bagan , continue visit 11 century Shwezigon Pagoda, Lunch at good Local restaurant. Proceed to Dhammyangyi, the temple of evil king for the unique of all Asia of double Image of Buddha, Shwesandaw temple for the panoramic view, Htilominlo temple where frescoed representing 28 Buddha. Overnight in Bagan. (B)


 

Day 19: Sun: Jan 20 '13: Mt. Popa – Salay

Breakfast at hotel, early morning, depart for Mt. Popa (45 km, approx 1½ hour), the core of an extinct volcano considered the abode of most powerful Nats (spirit) and important Nat worship center as well as one of the major pilgrimage destinations for local. Mt. Popa an extinct volcano, the highest landmark in the central dry zone, rises 1518 meter above sea. Established as National Parks, the Popa Mountain Park is now verdant and green with a rich flora especially of medicinal plants. It is the center for Nat worship in the shrine of the Mahagiri Nats.  For the energetic, time to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the hill. In the afternoon driver to the colonial riverside town and monastic centre of Salay with its famous Konbaung-era buildings. If there is time, your driver will take you to an alternate viewpoint to view another stunning sunset over the pagoda peaks of Bagan.  Return to Bagan, Overnight in Bagan. (B)
 

Day 20: Mon: Jan 21 '13:      Bagan – Ngapali Beach   Ngapali Beach. (B)
